Overview
Everest Circuit Trek is the best example of balance between Chola Pass and base camp. The road linking Gokyo lakes with the base camp of Everest via Chola pass is in clockwise direction. This is a jaw-dropping 360° panorama of about the most important summits on the planet. This strenuous Everest Cholatse Pass trek provides an unbelievable trekking adventure. The Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake adventure that brings me a sense of exhilaration. Gokyo Ri ascent offers stunning panoramic views. Note: It can sometimes be challenging to strike the right balance when humanizing a sentence, especially when it involves words that are not particularly informal or conversational in nature. Next, it is hard to beat feeling of the passing the Chola passes with beautiful scenery.
Gokyo Ri and Chola Pass
Our already exciting trek starts with a flight to Lukla. By ascending to Betchel Bazaar, we walk along the Dudh River. It is not considered just once a capital of Sherpa – legend’s culture. Sherpa museum and monastery is something to watch over! Market stalls are literally stuffed with local products and tibetan cultural heritage items. We hike to Gokyo – the peaceful and dramatic lake, to the three beautiful azure glacial lakes. These amazing lakes which are located in the midst of glittering snow-covered peaks are the sites of many winter wonder stories. Perhaps the most interesting experience and full of enjoyment.
An early start climbing Gokyo Ri pays off with its incredibly crispy sunrise views of the Himalayas Chose from ascending numbers from Cho Oyu to Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse to Makalu with the Nagozumpa glacier on the horizon. It is the world’s Longest and largest of its kind. Definitely, a fantastic Himalaya vista from Gokyo Ri. Next we are are up over the amazing Chola Pass in 5400 m and then continue to EBC. the wonderful scenery made me feel like I was coming down from Chola’s pass. The snowfields look like polished mirrors into a valley that is enclosed and empty.
Base Camp and Kalapathar on Chola Pass Trek
We experience this increasing excitement and tension as we travel nearer to Mt. Everest. Mount Everest, the highest mountain on earth, is looming up ahead. At Kalapater we have the most excellent close up view of the tallest peak in the world. We do not only trek to the Everest base camp but we leave a historical legacy. Truly, a treasure to take with us and an excellent accomplishment.
We start the downhill track to reach Pangboche which is the oldest the monastery then we continue the journey. Moreover, we go to Namche on the hike from Thyangboche Monastery. It is an old and a well decorated monastery in Khumbu valley. However, in the mountains, there are lots of places that remain unexplored and that we have many things to see, on this way back to Lukla. The Everest Circuit Trek combines Gokyo Lakes and EBC which can be done in one-go.
