Bardia Safari trip is held in National Park which was announced as National Park in 1988 is the largest National Park in Tarai with 968 sq km of area, expanding from Churia hills to the inclination at Bhabar. Surrounded by with Churia Hills to the north and Geruwa River to the west, Bardiya National Park encompasses the territory of Babai River Valley and also serves as natural habitat for vast wildlife including 30 species of mammals, Ghariyal crocodiles, and dolphins. Bardiya National Park is one of the major and popular destinations for Jungle Safari and natural sightseeing in Nepal. It is the second most preferred National Park for jungle safari after the Chitwan National Park Safari.

Majority of the area of the park is comprised of deep Sal forests where we can see the wild animals like bear, rare one-horned rhinoceros and wild elephants enjoying and living in their wild natural habitat. Other animals like langur and rhesus monkey, civets, hyenas, wild dogs, sloth bears, blue bulls, deer and wild boars are commonly spotted creatures in the national park.

The park holds more than 250 species of birds including endangered Bengal florican, Sarus crane, and kingfishers. Day 1: Drive or Fly to Nepalgunj, move to Bardiya National Park

<p>On the first day of the itinerary, you will either catch a flight to Nepalgunj from the Capital City of Kathmandu or else embark on a drive to the Tarai city from Kathmandu. Bardiya National Park is located 90km far from the western hub of Nepal- Nepalgunj. If you choose to drive, you will need around 10-12 hours from Kathmandu while an hour of flight is enough to render you to Nepalgunj via aircraft. From Nepalgunj, you will move further up to Bardiya National Park and spend overnight at a Hotel.</p>

<p>It is going to be a busy day on the second day as you will explore the National Park. You can walk through the dense Sal woods, enjoying yourself with the thrilling sensation of having a close encounter with the wild animals including rare one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and tigers. You can alternately also opt for Elephant Jungle Safari or Jeep Safari and fully enjoy the natural sightseeing which also includes the wild animals in their natural habitat. At the end of the day, the visitors can also enjoy the Tharu Cultural show performed by the local Tharus. Overnight stay at the Hotel.</p>

<p>It takes 2-hours of drive from the National Park to reach Nepalgunj Airport from where a connecting flight leads you to Kathmandu. You can then decide about your further itinerary once you arrive in the Capital City of Kathmandu.</p>
